Held in Philadelphia, May 1908, the Pennsylvania Arbitration and Peace Conference set up an executive committee which founded the Pennsylvania Arbitration and Peace Society on December, 1909. Early in 1912, the Society became a branch of the American Peace Society, but as a result of a change in the latter's constitution in 1915 the Pennsylvania group withdrew.
